Trump then directed his criticism at Bessent who appears to have been in the audience for the speech. "You got to work on him, Scott. The only thing Scott's blowing it on is the Fed. Because the Fed, the rates are too high, Scott," Trump said. "And if you don't get it fixed fast, I'm going to fire your ass, OK?"

Healthcare providers across the country have closed clinics and hospital wards in the four months since Donald Trump signed into law the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, the landmark tax-and-spending legislation that will lead an estimated 10 million people to lose their health insurance.

The law is expected to slash federal funding by hundreds of billions of dollars over the coming years, as part of Trump's campaign pledge to shrink government spending. But it will do so in part by paring back eligibility for Medicaid, the US government's health insurance program for low-income people; raising the cost of healthcare under the Affordable Care Act.

Day 309

A Thoughtful and Inspiring Thanksgiving message from the President:
Donald J. Trump
@realDonald Trump

A very Happy Thanksgiving salutation to all of our Great American Citizens and Patriots who have been so nice in allowing our Country to be divided, disrupted, carved up, murdered, beaten, mugged, and laughed at, along with certain other foolish countries throughout the World, for being "Politically Correct," and just plain STUPID, when it comes to Immigration. The official United States Foreign population stands at 53 million people (Census), most of which are on welfare, from failed nations, or from prisons, mental institutions, gangs, or drug cartels. They and their children are supported through massive payments from Patriotic American Citizens who, because of their beautiful hearts, do not want to openly complain or cause trouble in any way, shape, or form. They put up with what has happened to our Country, but it's eating them alive to do so! A migrant earning $30,000 with a green card will get roughly $50,000 in yearly benefits for their family. The real migrant population is much higher. This refugee burden is the leading cause of social dysfunction in America, something that did not exist after World War II (Failed schools, high crime, urban decay, overcrowded hospitals, housing shortages, and large deficits, etc.). As an example, hundreds of thousands of refugees from Somalia are completely taking over the once great State of Minnesota.

Somalian gangs are roving the streets looking for "prey" as our wonderful people stay locked in their apartments and houses hoping against hope that they will be left alone. The seriously retarded Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz , does nothing, either through fear, incompetence, or both, while the worst

"Congressman/woman" in our Country, Ilhan Omar, always wrapped in her swaddling hijab, and who probably came into the U.S.A. illegally in that you are not allowed to marry your brother, does nothing but hatefully complain about our Country, its Constitution, and how "badly" she is treated, when her place of origin is a decadent, backward, and crime ridden nation, which is essentially not even a country for lack of Government, Military, Police, schools, etc...

Part 2:

...Even as we have progressed technologically, Immigration Policy has eroded those gains and living conditions for many. I will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries to allow the U.S. system to fully recover, terminate all of the millions of Biden illegal admissions, including those signed by Sleepy Joe Biden's Autopen, and remove anyone who is not a net asset to the United States, or is incapable of loving our Country, end all Federal benefits and subsidies to noncitizens of our Country, denaturalize migrants who undermine domestic tranquility, and deport any Foreign National who is a public charge, security risk, or non-compatible with Western Civilization. These goals will be pursued with the aim of achieving a major reduction in illegal and disruptive populations, including those admitted through an unauthorized and illegal Autopen approval process. Only REVERSE MIGRATION can fully cure this situation. Other than that, HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL, except those that hate, steal, murder, and destroy everything that America stands for — You won't be here for long!

Promoting reverse migration, a term is used as a euphemism for what critics describe as mass expulsions based on ethnic or racial criteria. On Thanksgiving. With a hint of irony.

Day 310

Reporter: Your Justice Department inspector general reported this year that these Afghans who were brought into the U.S. were thoroughly vetted by DHS and the FBI. So why do you blame the Biden administration?

Donald Trump has just pardoned one of the world's most notorious drug traffickers. Trump, in a new post, said he will issue a "full and complete pardon" to former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez, who was convicted of drug trafficking last year in the US and sentenced to 45 years in prison. Hernandez was convicted by a jury of conspiring to traffic 400 tons of cocaine into the United States and was "at the center of one of the largest and most violent drug-trafficking conspiracies in the world." Hernandez is responsible for the deaths of countless American citizens, but Trump says that he was treated "very unfairly."

As we continue along this journey, into places none of us has ever quite been before, it is worth holding close to our hearts the words of the Czech playwright and dissident Václav Havel. They moved me when I first read them, in the early 1990s, when so much was so different, and I have cited them several times since, but they hold more meaning now than ever. "I have few illusions," Havel wrote. "But I feel a responsibility to work towards the things I consider good and right. I don't know whether I'll be able to change certain things for the better, or not at all. Both outcomes are possible. There is only one thing I will not concede: that it might be meaningless to strive in a good cause."

New federal data shows a dramatic shift inside ICE detention centers. Nearly half of the more than 65,000 people held nationwide have no criminal record at all. Arrests of non-criminal immigrants have surged over 2000 percent under the Trump administration, marking the fastest rise in the agency's history and signaling a major change in federal enforcement priorities.

Immigration crackdown: The Trump administration is set to begin an operation targeting Somali immigrants in the Minneapolis-St. Paul region, according to an official with knowledge of the plan and documents. The Immigration and Customs Enforcement operation comes as President Trump has used increasingly inflammatory language to attack Somalis in recent days.

The president has moved to end temporary legal protections for Somalis. Many of them have had the protections for decades under a program for migrants from countries in crisis. When asked by a reporter on Thursday what Somalis had to do with the accused Afghan shooter in Washington, Mr. Trump said, "Ah, nothing. But Somalis have caused a lot of trouble." (Headline from 2024: Some Somali voters say economy, social issues are driving them to vote for Trump.)

Trump: “Somalians ripped off that state... They contribute nothing. I don't want them in our country. Some will say, that is not politically correct. I don't care. Their country is no good for a reason. Their country stinks, and we don't want them in our country. We're going to go the wrong way if we keep taking garbage into our country.”

CDC advisers could reverse newborn hepatitis B vaccine recommendations. Hepatitis B vaccines given at birth have essentially eliminated the disease in kids. A vote this week could upend that success.

  • United States estimates: In the U.S., before 1982, it was estimated that about 200,000 to 300,000 people were infected with Hepatitis B annually, with about
20,000 of those being children.

  • Impact of vaccination: Since the introduction of the vaccine, there has been a dramatic decrease in new infections and deaths. For example, in the U.S., infections in children and teens have decreased by 99% since 1991 with only 19 cases last year.

  • Long-term impact: Without vaccination, an estimated 1.4 million people would die from HBV-related diseases in a given birth cohort (all those born in the same year), and without a vaccine, about 5 of every 10 deaths would be the result of infections acquired during early childhood.

Donald Trump has just pardoned Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar - and his wife Imelda - erasing all federal charges tied to their sweeping corruption and bribery scandal. Cuellar had been indicted for allegedly accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes tied to foreign interests and using his office to push favorable legislation. Prosecutors said the couple engaged in an elaborate scheme of money laundering, shell companies, and quid-pro-quo influence peddling.

UPDATE:
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) claimed to have saved between $160 billion and $175 billion, but independent analyses indicate the actual verifiable savings are a small fraction of that amount, while some analyses suggest the actions could ultimately cost taxpayers over $135 billion.

Claimed Savings

  • DOGE's Figures: The agency's public "Wall of Receipts" claimed total savings ranging from approximately $160 billion to $175 billion. This figure included claimed savings from contract cancellations, grant terminations, asset sales, and workforce reductions.

  • Independent Analysis: News organizations and budget experts found these claims to be vastly overstated due to accounting errors (e.g., confusing "billion" with
"million"), claiming credit for contracts canceled under a previous administration, and counting contract ceiling values (maximum potential spending) as savings rather than actual obligated funds.

  • A Politico analysis found actual savings from itemized contract cancellations were less than 5% of what was claimed.

  • A NPR analysis of early data found only about $2 billion in verifiable savings from the initial claims.

  • The Wall Street Journal analyzed $7 billion in canceled contracts and found actual savings were closer to $2.6 billion.

Estimated Costs
Independent analyses estimate that DOGE's actions could result in significant costs to the government and taxpayers:

  • Taxpayer Costs: One analysis by the Partnership for Public Service estimated that the costs could total $135 billion due to the need to retrain and rehire staff, lower productivity, and a drain of top talent from the federal workforce.

  • Lost Revenue: The Yale Budget Lab estimated that a projected 40% cut to the IRS workforce could result in over $323 billion (and potentially up to $2.4 trillion over a decade) in lost tax revenue due to lower compliance and fewer audits.

  • Economic Loss: Cuts to health and science research programs could result in billions of dollars in annual economic losses and job losses.

  • Lawsuits: The government also incurred costs when defending against lawsuits related to the firing of workers and cancellation of contracts without due cause.

HHS Moves to Kill Biden-Era Nursing Home Staffing Standards. The Trump administration on Tuesday issued an interim final rule withdrawing Biden-era staffing standards for nursing homes under Medicare and Medicaid. The withdrawal is the final step in the slow death of a rule meant to improve care in nursing homes, where limited staffing and the role of private equity has come under the microscope following the Covid-19 pandemic. The withdrawn Biden administration rule established minimum staffing thresholds for long-term care facilities, prompting Republican states and industry groups like LeadingAge and the American Health Care Association to sue over what they called an existential threat to nursing homes nationwide.

Yenor believes that employers should be legally permitted to discriminate against women in the workplace, and has advocated for legal changes that would allow businesses "to support traditional family life by hiring only male heads of households, or by paying a family wage" —that is, denying women jobs solely on the basis of their sex or paying men more for performing the same job as women. He also believes that "governments should be allowed to prepare men for leadership and responsible provision, while preparing women for domestic management and family care."

As Vote Nears on Hepatitis Shot, Criticism About Quality of Data Presented to Panel. The morning session of the federal vaccine panel appointed by Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was marked by accusations of cherry-picked data in presentations on the vaccine's safety. The committee's decisions are not legally binding, but they have significant implications for whether private insurance and government assistance programs are required to cover the vaccines. Some high-income nations like Denmark - invoked by Dr. Nevison in her presentation and by others in comparing vaccination schedules - immunize babies at birth if the mother is known to be infected, and delay the first dose to 8-weeks-old for all others. But those countries offer nationalized health care and are able to diagnose most women who may be infected, public health experts have pointed out. Each year in the United States, more than 17,000 infants are born to women who have hepatitis B. But nearly one in five pregnant women are not tested for the virus, and only about one in three women who test positive receive care, according to a report released on Tuesday by the Vaccine Integrity Project, an initiative dedicated to safeguarding vaccine use in the U.S.

Americans living under President Donald Trump are being laid off at a rate not seen since the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to new data. In November alone, 71,321 job losses were announced, taking the total to 1.17 million in 2025.

Overall, tariffs are thought to have been the root cause of 8,000 job loss announcements this year to date.

A leaked memo obtained by independent investigative journalist Ken Klippenstein reveals that Attorney General Pam Bondi is ordering the FBI to "compile a list of groups or entities engaging in acts that may constitute domestic terrorism. According to the memo, the target is those expressing "opposition to law and immigration enforcement; extreme views in favor of mass migration and open borders; adherence to radical gender ideology," as well as "anti-Americanism," "anti-capitalism," and "anti-Christianity" - echoing the language used in Trump's NSPM-7 directive. Supreme Court to Hear Major Test of Trump's Power to Fire Officials. The court's conservative majority has generally let President Trump remove leaders of independent agencies, at least temporarily.

On Monday the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in Trump v. Slaughter, a case that will decide whether to grant the president, for the first time in American history, the power to fire the heads of virtually all independent agencies at will. This would be a vast transfer of power from Congress to the president. The Constitution doesn't explicitly grant the president any such power, and nearly a century ago, the court unanimously rejected an argument that the president possessed it. Today's Republican-appointed justices appear to be firmly under the sway of an atextual and ahistoric theory.

Day 321

NYT article about the misogyny in the Republican Party. Today, however, Republicans are much less defensive about being the party of chest-beating patriarchy. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has purged women from the highest ranks of the military. Johnson has attributed school shootings to the "amoral society" wrought by "radical feminism" and the sexual revolution and has said Americans should strive to live by "18th-century values." Vice President JD Vance is famously contemptuous of women without children.

There's been less public alarm about the resurgence of unapologetic misogyny. Last month, there was an uproar over the support that the Heritage Foundation's president, Kevin Roberts, offered to Tucker Carson after his softball interview with Nick Fuentes, the influential antisemite. We've seen far less backlash to Heritage's hiring of Scott Yenor, who believes that workplace discrimination against women should be legal, as head of its B. Kenneth Simon Center for American Studies. Among the sort of young men who revel in transgressive antisemitism - which is to say, among much of the conservative movement's rising generation - calls to repeal women's right to vote have become commonplace.

Supreme Court weighs Republican appeal to end limits on party spending in federal elections. The Supreme Court's conservative-leaning majority seems poised to scrap a 90-year precedent that has insulated the deep state for decades. Justices are weighing whether an elected president can remove executive branch officials serving on supposedly "independent" commissions or boards, and whether blocking the president from doing so violates the constitutional principle of separation of powers. This specific case regards President Donald Trump's ouster of Federal Trade Commissioner Rebecca Slaughter. If the justices uphold Trump's firing of Slaughter, that might overturn the precedent set in Humphrey's Executor v. United States (1935), which also dealt with the FTC. In the New Deal-era Humphrey's Executor case, the Supreme Court ruled that Congress could enact laws limiting a president's power to fire "independent" agency executive officials.

U.S. President Donald Trump's approval rating is in a "black hole" with young people, a data analyst has said. Harry Enten, CNN's chief data analyst said Trump's approval rating had declined by 56 points since February and that swings like this were rare in politics. Speaking on CNN, Enten said while Trump had initially performed well with young voters, his approval rating had plummeted. Citing CBS News/YouGov polling, he said Trump's approval rating among adults aged 18 to 29 had declined from +10 percentage points in February, to -46 points in December. A Fox News poll found in November that 76 percent of voters view the economy negatively. This makes Trump less popular on the economy than former President Joe Biden. At the end of his presidency in 2024, Fox News polling showed that 70 percent of people had a negative view of the economy.

Senate Republicans want to give Americans up to $1,500 to cover health expenses rather than extending enhanced Affordable Care Act subsidies that have lowered health insurance costs for millions of Americans. Republican Sens. Mike Crapo and Bill Cassidy on Dec. 8 unveiled a bill that would deposit $1,000 to $1,500 into health savings accounts for eligible consumers. This money would be in lieu of extending COVID-19-era enhanced tax credits that sharply reduced health premiums under the Affordable Care Act, often called "Obamacare." Under the Crapo-Cassidy legislation, the federal government would deposit $1,000 into a health savings account for consumers ages 18 to 49 or $1,500 for consumers ages 50 to 64.

How much health care can I get for $1,500? The health savings account deposit wouldn't be enough to cover the average deductible for most ACA bronze or catastrophic plans.

In 2026, the average deductible for an individual bronze Affordable Care Act plan is $7,476, according to an analysis by KFF, a health policy nonprofit. The deductible is the amount consumers must pay for in-network services before most coverage kicks in. But Obamacare plans must cover the full cost of nearly two dozen preventive care services such as immunization and screening blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes and colorectal cancer.

Currently, Obamacare enrollees never see the funds from their tax credits, which instead are sent directly to insurers. President Donald Trump has suggested that consumers would rather see the money themselves, what little of it there is. Republicans' plan purports to take the burden of negotiating insurance rates away from health care providers and large companies and place it on individuals, so they can "feel like entrepreneurs," according to Trump.

Trump administration adds militarized zone in California along southern US border

MIAMI (AP) - President Donald Trump's zero-tolerance immigration policy split more than 5,000 children from their families at the Mexico border during his first term. Border crossings sit at a record low nearly a year into his second administration and a new wave of immigration enforcement is dividing families inside the U.S. Federal officials and their local law enforcement partners are detaining tens of thousands of asylum-seekers and migrants. Detainees are moved repeatedly, then deported, or held in poor conditions for weeks or months before asking to go home. The federal government was holding an average of more than 66,000 people in November, the highest on record. During the first Trump administration, families were forcibly separated at the border and authorities struggled to find children in a vast shelter system because government computer systems weren't linked. Now parents inside the United States are being arrested by immigration authorities and separated from their families during prolonged detention. Or, they choose to have their children remain in the U.S. after an adult is deported, many after years or decades here.

The Trump administration, which has pulled funding from elite colleges over a range of grievances, has suggested it's illegal to target needier students. College leaders believe they're on solid legal ground.

Truth Social Post from December 9:
There has never been a President that has worked as hard as me! My hours are the longest, and my results are among the best. I've stopped Eight Wars, saving many millions of lives in the process, created the Greatest Economy in the History of our Country, brought Business back into the United States at levels never seen before, rebuilt our Military, created the Largest Tax Cuts and Regulation Cuts, EVER, closed our open and very dangerous Southern Border, when previous Administrations were unable to do so, and created an "aura" around the United States of America that has led every Country in the World to respect us more than ever before. In addition to all of that, I go out of my way to do long, thorough, and very boring Medical Examinations at the Great Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, seen and supervised by top doctors, all of whom have given me PERFECT Marks — Some have even said they have never seen such Strong Results. I do these Tests because I owe it to our Country. In addition to the Medical, I have done something that no other President has done, on three separate occasions, the last one being recently, by taking what is known as a Cognitive Examination, something which few people would be able to do very well, including those working at The New York Times, and I ACED all three of them in front of large numbers of doctors and experts, most of whom I do not know. I have been told that few people have been able to "ace" this Examination and, in fact, most do very poorly, which is why many other Presidents have decided not to take it at all. Despite all of this, the time and work involved, The New York Times, and some others, like to pretend that I am "slowing up," am maybe not as sharp as I once was, or am in poor physical health, knowing that it is not true, and knowing that I work very hard, probably harder than I have ever worked before. I will know when I am "slowing up," but it's not now! After all of the work I have done with Medical Exams, Cognitive Exams, and everything else, I actually believe it's seditious, perhaps even treasonous, for The New York Times, and others, to consistently do FAKE reports in order to libel and demean "THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES." They are true Enemies of the People, and we should do something about it. They have inaccurately reported on all of my Election Results and, in fact, were forced to apologize on much of what they wrote. The best thing that could happen to this Country would be if The New York Times would cease publication because they are a horrible, biased, and untruthful "source" of information. Thank you for your attention to this matter. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

Info about the ACA to remember:

The Affordable Care Act subsidies brought down costs
More than
24 million people have Affordable Care Act health insurance, a group including farmers, ranchers, small business owners and other self-employed people who don’t have other health insurance options through their work. Enrollees who make less than 400% of the federal poverty level qualify for permanent subsidies in the program that help them offset premium costs. In 2021, Democrats in Congress added additional subsidies, known as enhanced premium tax credits, that apply to enrollees regardless of their income. Those COVID-era subsidies are the ones slated to expire on Jan. 1. With the expanded subsidies, some lower-income enrollees received health care with no premiums, and high earners paid no more than 8.5% of their income. Eligibility for middle-class earners was also expanded.

Democrats back an extension, while Republicans pitch swapping subsidies for savings accounts
The plan championed by Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer would allow the vast majority of Affordable Care Act enrollees to keep benefiting from the enhanced subsidies for an additional three years. It would save millions of Americans money in the short term – and allow some who might otherwise consider skipping coverage to stay insured.

Republicans on Thursday will back a different proposal from Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La) and Sen. Mike Crapo (R-Id) to scrap the subsidies in favor of health savings accounts that will be funded for the next two years. To be eligible, enrollees would have to choose a lower-cost, higher deductible bronze or catastrophic health insurance plan and make less than 700% of the federal poverty level. Those aged 18 to 49 would get $1,000 a year, while those 50 and up would get $1,500. The money could be spent on health costs like copays, deductibles, or any other qualified health-related items directly from companies. But it couldn’t be used on premiums – which health analysts warn could pose a problem when low-income Americans must first afford coverage to get access to the cash.

Cassidy and Crapo say their bill provides better support to Americans than the expiring subsidies do because it hands money directly to the people, giving them the power to decide how to spend or save it — a message President Donald Trump has echoed in recent weeks. Democrats disagree and argue the GOP plan leaves Americans without help for their high premiums, encouraging the purchase of junk plans that provide bad coverage.

Pining for the pre-Civil Rights era. Stephen Miller suggested the country was better off with strict quotas that sought to preserve the racial makeup of the country in the 1920s and favored immigrants from Western and Northern Europe over what he called “third world countries.” That period was, in Miller’s view, the “cauldron through which a unified shared national identity was formed.” He drew a line between the great events in that 50-year period of US history and negative migration. Back then, it was Swedish immigrants living in the Minneapolis neighborhood where Somalis have now settled. (they want us to go back to the early 1900’s)

He also said the agents mocked her hijab and touched her inappropriately. The woman was released on Thursday after more than 24 hours in custody. She was let go after her husband showed authorities her passport card, proving her citizenship, he said. The woman was too shaken up to speak publicly, he said.

Donald J. Trump@realDonaldTrump

A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS. He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before. May Rob and Michele rest in peace!

Donald Trump's second term keeps sparking serious WTF moments... now his chief of staff says his erratic behavior boils down to having "an alcoholic's personality." Trump's former campaign boss and current chief of staff Susie Wiles spills it all in a Vanity Fair tell-all, explaining her analogy ... saying Trump operates like he can do no wrong - a mindset that seems to mirror the reckless, impulsive behavior often associated with alcoholism. Over the course of 11 interviews, Ms. Wiles offered pungent assessments of the president and his team: Mr. Trump "has an alcoholic's personality." Vice President JD Vance has "been a conspiracy theorist for a decade" and his conversion from Trump critic to ally was based not on principle but was "sort of political" because he was running for Senate. Elon Musk is "an avowed ketamine" user and "an odd, odd duck," whose actions were not always "rational" and left her "aghast." Russell T. Vought, the budget director, is "a right-wing absolute zealot." And Attorney General Pam Bondi "completely whiffed" in handling the Epstein files.

President Donald Trump's so-called One Big Beautiful Bill Act will shift billions in costs for SNAP and Medicaid to states. But with 26 having cut or eliminated state income taxes just since 2021, they may not have the money to continue the programs.

Ohio farmers see one-year, 74% loss in Chinese sales due largely to Trump tariffs, report shows

The report shows Ohio farmers lost nearly $76 million of their exports to China this year compared to one year earlier. Tariffs are taxes on imports, and since the start of his second term, Trump has imposed a shifting array of them on every country in the world - except Russia for some reason, according to the Atlantic Council's Tariff Tracker.

A new Justice Department memo from Attorney General Pam Bondi instructs the FBI to create a "cash reward system" to incentivize providing information against domestic terrorists.

However, it also makes it clear that the targets of such domestic terrorist investigations will “Antifa-aligned extremists," including those promoting “radical gender ideology." “The FBI shall establish a cash reward system for information that leads to the successful identification and arrest of individuals in the leadership of domestic terrorist organizations," the memo reads. The memo, dated December 5, was leaked.

Though long tied to the American Revolution, the banner in more recent years "has been adopted primarily by evangelical Christian nationalist groups," as well as the Proud Boys and certain neo-Nazi groups, according to the Global Project Against Hate and Extremism, an independent nonprofit organization. It was flown in 2021 by rioters at the U.S. Capitol as they tried to prevent Congress from certifying the 2020 presidential election results.

Trump declares Fentanyl a weapon of mass destruction' in latest Venezuela escalation

Medicare prices are rising across the board for 2026, with the standard Part B premium jumping nearly 10% to $202.90, the Part D deductible increasing to $615, and higher Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amounts (IRMAA) for wealthier enrollees, driven by rising healthcare cos utilization, particularly in outpatient settings, impacting overall costs for most beneficiaries.

Where Costs Are Rising

  •   Part B Premiums: The standard monthly premium for outpatient care (Part B) is increasing to $202.90 in 2026.

  •   Part B Deductible: The annual deductible for Part B also rises.

  •   Part D (Prescription Drugs): The annual deductible for prescription drug coverage (Part D) will increase to $615.

  •   IRMAA Surcharges: Higher earners (single filers over $109k, joint over $218k) face extra charges on their Part B and Part D premiums.

  •   Medicare Advantage (Part C): Costs within private Medicare Advantage plans are also rising, with some states seeing significant premium hikes.

Why Prices Are Increasing

  •   Rising Healthcare Costs: Higher costs for services, especially in outpatient hospital settings, are a major driver.

  •   Increased Demand: An aging population and greater use of services contribute to financial pressures.

  •   Medicare Advantage Costs: Increased spending on private Medicare Advantage plans also puts upward pressure on the entire system.

DHS clearly has an official nationwide policy of threatening people who attempt to follow, record, document, and protest their activities. The DOJ asserts that this is “domestic terrorism" activity.

A JetBlue flight from the small Caribbean nation of Curaçao halted its ascent to avoid colliding with a US Air Force refueling tanker. (Remember when all the problems with planes was because of DEI?)

White House chief of staff Susie Wiles may have given up the game, admitting that the Trump administration's strike on alleged “drug boats" in the Caribbean Sea is an effort to bring about regime change in Venezuela, rather than a war on drug trafficking.

Why Republicans Are Spreading Lies About the Mass Shooting at Brown? There is zero evidence, as of this writing, that student Ella Cook was targeted for her conservative beliefs. Or was even a conservative. Yet Right-wingers' victimization, honed after Charlie Kirk's assassination, has been relentless-and their goal is to justify further repression of their perceived enemies.

Tariffs are unpopular, prices remain stubbornly high and Americans are souring on President Trump's handling of the economy.

So Mr. Trump has reprised a familiar political strategy: promise people cash. President Donald Trump promised voters in 2024 that if they returned him to the White House, his policies would deliver a blue-collar jobs boom. And yet as his first calendar year in office winds down, that blue-collar jobs boom has yet to arrive. If anything, industries that rely on manual labor are cutting jobs, not adding them, a trend that economists blame at least in part on the president's historic and volatile tariff policy.

American Academy of Pediatrics loses HHS funding after criticizing RFK Jr. HHS cuts key AAP grants, citing concerns about "identity-based language" and insufficient focus on agency priorities. The organization said the cuts could harm child health.

The Department of Health and Human Services has terminated seven grants totaling millions of dollars to the American Academy of Pediatrics, including for initiatives on reducing sudden infant deaths, improving adolescent health, preventing fetal alcohol syndrome and identifying autism early, according to documents obtained by The Washington Post.

Administration officials cited a range of reasons for cutting off the funding to AAP, including the group's use of "identity-based language" including references to racial disparities and "pregnant people," and insufficient focus in at least one grant program on nutrition and chronic disease prevention, which they said runs afoul of HHS's priorities.

This is part of 'Project 2025' White Grievance. Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon claimed that the Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division was guilty of "50 years of discrimination" against white people after about 75% of the agency's lawyers said she was behind a plot to drive them out. On Wednesday's appearance on The Charlie Kirk Show, Dhillon encouraged viewers to apply for jobs at the reconstructed Civil Rights Division. "We just sued Minneapolis for discriminating against teachers who are not minorities and, you know, on and on and on," she promised. "And so we are hiring, and so lawyers with at least 18 months of experience who are interested in serving a tour of duty to help their country."

Brazil, Mexico call for de-escalation as US ramps up pressure on Venezuela

A Bellicose Trump Points Fingers in Defending His Record on the Economy. In an 18-minute address, President Trump said the economy was booming despite the public’s consistent concerns about prices. Here are six takeaways from the speech.

The president’s tone was combative.

He made highly selective — and often misleading — use of statistics.

He risked repeating a Biden mistake of arguing with voters about how they feel.

His solution to making Americans feel better is to write a check.

The tariffs he is relying on may be blocked by the Supreme Court.

Trump declared he is a peacemaker, but made no mention of his pressure on Venezuela. Trump Moves to Prevent Access to Gender-Related Care for Minors. Proposed new rules would pull all federal financing from hospitals that continue to provide gender treatments for adolescents.

The president has called for "many more" arrests, signaling he plans to target former FBI Director Christopher Wray and former Attorney General Merrick Garland. His revenge is now focused on those involved in the August 2022 raid of Mar-a-Lago and classified document investigation.

Statement from Maria Shriver about Trump renaming the Kennedy Center:
The Kennedy Center was named after my uncle, President John F Kennedy. It was named in his honor. He was a man who was interested in the arts, interested in culture, interested in education, language, history.

He brought the arts into the White House, and he and my Aunt Jackie amplified the arts, celebrated the arts, stood up for the arts and artists.

It is beyond compression that this sitting president has sought to rename this great memorial dedicated to President Kennedy. It is beyond wild that he would think adding his name in front of President Kennedy's name is acceptable. It is not.

Next thing perhaps he will want to rename

This is what the Democrats do to their Republican Opponent, who is leading them, by a lot, in the Polls. This is A.l., and it is very dangerous for our Country! Also, I was never on Epstein's Plane, or at his "stupid" Island. Strong Laws ought to be developed against A.I. It will be a big and very dangerous problem in the future!

Merry Christmas from our president!

Donald J. Trump@realDonaldTrump

Merry Christmas to all, including the Radical Left Scum that is doing everything possible to destroy our Country, but are failing badly.

We no longer have Open Borders, Men in Women's Sports, Transgender for Everyone, or Weak Law Enforcement. What we do have is a Record Stock Market and 401K's, Lowest Crime numbers in decades, No Inflation, and yesterday, a 4.3 GDP, two points better than expected. Tariffs have given us Trillions of Dollars in Growth and Prosperity, and the strongest National Security we have ever had. We are respected again, perhaps like never before. God Bless America!!! President DJT

Donald J. Trump@realDonaldTrump

Merry Christmas to all, including the many Sleazebags who loved Jeffrey Epstein, gave him bundles of money, went to his Island, attended his parties, and thought he was the greatest guy on earth, only to "drop him like a dog" when things got too HOT, falsely claimed they had nothing to do with him, didn't know him, said he was a disgusting person, and then blame, of course, President Donald J. Trump, who was actually the only one who did drop Epstein, and long before it became fashionable to do so.

When their names get brought out in the ongoing Radical Left Witch Hunt (plus one lowlife "Republican," Massie!), and it is revealed that they are Democrats all, there will be a lot of explaining to do, much like there was when it was made public that the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax was a fictitious story - a total Scam -

and had nothing to do with "TRUMP." The Failing New York Times, among many others, was forced to apologize for their bad and faulty Election "Reporting," even to the point of losing many subscribers due to their highly inaccurate (FAKE!) coverage. Now the same losers are at it again, only this time so many of their friends, mostly innocent, will be badly hurt and reputationally tarnished. But sadly, that's the way it is in the World of Corrupt Democrat Politics!!! Enjoy what may be your last Merry Christmas! President Donald J. Trump

Aluminum salts emerge as likely target as health officials scrutinize childhood vaccines. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has made unsubstantiated claims that the vaccine ingredient is linked to allergies and autism. Aluminum salts are not a "contaminant" in vaccines: The compound is added as an adjuvant, an ingredient that boosts the body's immune response to a vaccine, allowing for a smaller dose to be used. Nearly a century of evidence has found it to be safe for this purpose. Aluminum salts are naturally present in soil and water, and the amount children are exposed to from vaccines is minuscule compared with cumulative daily exposures from food. (Exposure from infant formula or breastmilk is higher than exposure from vaccines in the first six months of life, as well.)

'I Was Just So Naïve': Inside Marjorie Taylor Greene's Break With Trump

. Greene told me that the death of Charlie Kirk was clarifying for her. She watched Kirk's widow, Erika, speak at his memorial about love and forgiveness, and then watched Trump follow her speech with one in which he said, "l hate my opponent." She once believed that Trump wanted to help ordinary people but has since been disillusioned by his actions and statements. "I was so naïve," she said.

Families of Murder Victims in Washington Say Trump Is Ignoring Them. President Trump insists there are no more murders in Washington, D.C. "I wish that was true," said Jamia Vaden, whose sister was gunned down in November.

“We haven’t had a murder in six months,” Mr. Trump said of Washington.

It was the kind of glaringly false claim about crime in the capital that Mr. Trump has made repeatedly since August, when he deployed the National Guard and took federal control of the police force. While crime is dropping in Washington — homicides are down by 31 percent compared to the same time last year — the D.C. police have recorded 127 murders through Dec. 26, , including 28 since Mr. Trump announced his federal takeover.

The rate of homicides has dropped from an average of more than 12 a month since the National Guard was deployed, but still stood at seven per month over the closing four months of the year.

In the 11 months since he was confirmed as health secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has wreaked steady havoc on the nation's vaccination policies and programs. He canceled hundreds of millions of dollars in federal investment for mRNA vaccines, including ones that would have improved our ability to fight the next flu pandemic. He chased away doctors and scientists at the Food and Drug Administration and the C.D.C. who oversaw federal vaccine policy for decades. Perhaps worst of all, he fired the entire 17-member Advisory Committee on Immunization. Practices, known as ACIP. The group is responsible for advising the C.D.C. on which vaccines to recommend for whom. It now consists of a mix of ideologues and incompetents handpicked by Mr. Kennedy himself.

He's saying it straight up. Trump is saying the people like dictators. Trump is saying I hate my opponents and I want them punished. And Trump is saying I'll use all the levers of government at my disposal to accomplish that goal. So you can get on board with that and say I'm with that or you can join the rest of us and fight like hell for this constitutional republic.

DHS deploys 2K federal agents to Minneapolis area to carry out 'largest immigration operation ever"

Delcy Rodríguez, the acting president of Venezuela, said on Tuesday that "there is no one, there is no external agent that governs Venezuela. It is Venezuela." Since the U.S. military operation on Saturday that seized Nicolás Maduro and his wife, President Trump has repeatedly said that the United States would "run" Venezuela.

On Tuesday, he suggested that the U.S. could be involved there for some time, and called himself the top person in charge. Rodriguez, who spoke at a government event, is hemmed in by Trump's demands to cooperate with him or face further action, and the need to maintain the loyalty of her country's ruling elite.

The 1920s were the last decade in American history during which one could be genuinely optimistic about politics. Since 1920, the vast increase in welfare beneficiaries and the extension of the franchise to women... have rendered the notion of "capitalist democracy" into an oxymoron.”

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, an Army National Guard veteran with tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, opposed women in ground combat units while he was a Fox News host and author. "I'm straight up saying we should not have women in combat roles. It hasn't made us more effective. Hasn't made us more lethal. Has made fighting more complicated," he said in a November 2024 podcast hosted by Shawn Ryan. But during his confirmation hearing last year he softened his stance, saying women can serve in combat roles as long as they meet the same standards as men.

Since US President Donald Trump took power in January, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has become a far more visible and fearsome force on American streets.

Though ICE is ostensibly still bound by constitutional limits, the way it has been operating bears the hallmarks of a secret police force in the making.

As an expert on authoritarian regimes, I've studied historical and contemporary secret police forces extensively across Africa, Asia and Europe. They typically meet five criteria:

  • they’re a police force targeting political opponents and dissidents

  • they're not controlled by other security agencies and answer directly to the dictator

  • the identity of their members and their operations are secret

  • they specialise in political intelligence and surveillance operations

  • they carry out arbitrary searches, arrests, interrogations, indefinite detentions, disappearances and torture.

Conservatives aren’t wrong to see furious women as an obstacle to their dreams of mass deportation. During Donald Trump’s first term, many outraged women protested to their members of Congress. They put their faith in prosecutors like Robert Mueller, in investigations and impeachment. They thought the system could constrain a man they regarded as inimical to American values. They now know they were wrong and that no one is coming to save them. So many have turned to peaceful direct action, particularly against ICE, which they view, with good reason, as the tip of the authoritarian spear.

Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a “right of ownership” anyway?
